What's Supposed To Be In That Box

If you've planning to buy a PS2 or just bought one, you may be a little surprised at how few things you find in the box--especially if you happened to opt for a used unit to save a few bucks. Well, never fear, I'm going to let you know what should be in there, and you can check out the stuff you've got. There's that big piece, which is the PS2 console, or course. Then there are two cables, a controller, and a packet of information (also known as the "instruction manual").

One of the cable is pretty obvious--it's the power cord. The other cable has a blockyend that plug into the back of your PS2 and three little plugs on the other end. These little plugs connect to the audio and video jacks on your TV or VCR. The three little plugs are yellow (video), Red (right-channel audio), and white (left-channel audio), and they plug into the same color jacks on your TV or VCR.

The PS2 Dual Shock 2 controller is really a cool piece of work that packs a lot of functionality into a single unit. You'v got two different joystick-type controls, a directional pad, some other buttons, and four triggers (under the front). Not only that, but this thing rumbles and vibrates as you're playing to give you an even more realistic experience in many games.
